To kill all the bacteria from the mouth cavity, we need to know how to brush our teeth the right way.
To brush our teeth in the proper manner, we need to make UP-DOWN movements, not left-right movements. This is due to the fact that the UP-DOWN movement can clean the bacteria between the teeth and from the gum too.
The app will detect if you wash your teeth UP-DOWN or left-right. To detect this, the app uses a complex algorithm using the OpenCV library.
In order the app to work, it is required for the phone to have a frontal camera.
To make the teeth brushing recognition correctly, the phone has to stay still, this can be achieved by putting the phone in a GPS support, which was previously mounted on the mirror, or on the tiles.
Remember, wash your teeth at least twice a day, for two minutes (one minute upper jaw, one minute lower jaw).
The app has also a timer, to know, for how long you have washed your teeth.
When you stop the timer, the app makes a decision, on how well you have washed your teeth and displays a text accordingly. To have a good result, make small UP-DOWN movements, not big left-right movements with you toothbrush. If you don't have a place to mount your phone, try to keep your phone still.
To the app has also the game-mode function. The score from the left corner increases, if you wash your teeth UP-DOWN, or decreases, if you wash your teeth left-right. To get 1 point in the right corner, you need to brush your teeth for at least 02:00 minutes and you need to have at least 50 points in the left corner.
There is also a possibility to upload a username and the score from the right corner on the server. The server also makes a ranking of the users with the highest scores. Make sure you became the first in the tooth brushing contest.
The app does not collect any user data, however if the user wishes can upload it's score to the server in order to compare it with other users and to see the ranking in the tooth brushing contest.
